I had assumed our top-performer focused pay structure would be #1. When they were done, they shared with me the following three things:Personal Care stood out as #1Listening AND taking action came in 2nd placeAnd surprisingly enough, Incentives came in 3rd. I polled my team and asked them to come up with the top three reasons that they stay working at PatientPop. Amenities are nice, but….they don’t equal culture. Video games, ping-pong, free lunches, dog friendly office. I thought it was the cool stuff that kept people around. There was a smattering of claps but I could tell that I missed something so I did what I normally do, which is say “give it to me straight - what don’t you like about the presentation?”.It turns out, I had gotten it really wrong. When I had completed my first version of this presentation, I gathered my top performers in a room at HQ and asked “What do ya think?”. So I set out to create a great presentation around why I thought that my top performers stayed with me. As I was looking through our Namely account, I started to realize that it was a REALLY rare occasion when I lost someone that I would consider a “top performer”. I’ve got a great group of men and women that consistently achieve their quota numbers. I thought about building outbound sales, inbound sales, compensation, team structure, so on and so forth.I took a step back and thought. I’m proud to be representing LA here at SaaStr Annual. When Jason reached out and asked me to speak at SaaStr, my mind started racing about all of the different topics that I could possibly speak about. ![]() Essentially, we help doctors market their practice effectively online.
